Description

Built in the purest tradition of the houses of yesteryear, this master property is an extremely rare property, in the heart of the French-speaking part of Switzerland, enjoying total privacy.

In other words: the absolute calm and precious intimacy of the Vaud countryside in a cocoon of grace, without being too far from the big cities.

In addition to the indisputable beauty of its finishes, composed of mouldings with subtle floral motifs, noble woodwork, splendid period tapestries, sculpted fireplaces, antique parquet flooring or its high ceilings, the property is immersed in a park with lush vegetation. Its exteriors, adorned with secular trees, a charming walk in the woods, a swimming pool with a summer pavilion and a huge orchard with multiple species also offer a vegetable garden with succulent organic vegetables. The park, planted with century-old trees, will give you absolute privacy without any vis-à-vis.

This bourgeois residence boasts of course many bedrooms, galleries, numerous lounges decorated with care and a large vaulted cellar. A lift serves all the above ground levels.
A comfortable outbuilding used as a living space for the staff completes this real dream property.

An interior courtyard with numerous outdoor parking spaces completes this exceptional property.

This is a unique property that will delight lovers of authenticity combining an extraordinary location, top-of-the-range services and a plot of land that will give you an Olympian calm. At the first visit, the charm will work and it will be impossible to resist it.

The commune of Crassier is located about twenty minutes from Geneva and its international airport, at the crossroads between Nyon, Divonne-les-Bains and Chavannes-de-Bogis. The village has primary schools, two restaurants, several sports clubs and a proximity to the famous Bonmont golf course and its castle. The TPN bus stop is nearby and can take you either to Nyon or Coppet, so access to the CFF train stations is very easy.

Construction

The main house is classified in note 2 in the architectural census of the canton of Vaud, i.e. "monument of regional importance". The first inscription of the building dates from the 18th century. It is remarkable for its excellent state of maintenance and the degree of preservation of the interior fittings. The decorations were created by the Geneva architect, sculptor and decorator Jean Jaquet and the paintings were by the famous Italian painter Antonio Canova.

The recent works were carried out according to the rules of art. The materials used in the restorations or stored on site are period. The character of the house is preserved by the conservation of many period details and the whole is in a perfect state of maintenance.

In 2018, a manlift was installed. This work led to the restoration of adjoining rooms and service rooms. The annexes were rebuilt and modified during work in 2000.

All the buildings and plot surfaces were legalized and surveyed by an architect and an official surveyor in 2020. Due to the restrictions on the right to build, the plot does not allow any further development.
